All dances will receive vocal feedback on performance and content. This feedback will be uploaded into your online registration account by Wednesday following each event.


Registration is on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please log into your online studio account for registration fees.


No inappropriate dancing, music, or costumes are allowed.

Dances will be recognized as the Most Inspirational Dances within each age division.

No one will be admitted to the Classes or the SHOWCASE OF FAITH without a Band of Faith wristband.  All dancers will receive one with their registration fee. There will be an observer fee for the support, safety, and commitment to this experience that we are providing.

Dances are put into age divisions which include Tiny (6-8), Juniors (9-11), Teens (12-14), Seniors 15-18), and Adults (19 & above) as well as size of each group (Solos, Duet/Trios, Groups), not by technical levels. Again, there will be no #’s , styles, sizes, or ages attached to the dances just a program order that will include the name of the dance, name of dancers, and the choreographer.

As part of your testimony to the power of worship dance, each studio's dancers will together recognize one dance not of their own studio and support their decision with written words of inspiration of why they selected the dance. These inspirational words will be read aloud after the last dance as closure to an incredible day of celebrating the goodness of God.  THE PURPOSE Most Inspirational Dance fill-out cards will be given to each studio at registration.



5 dances will be recognized as being the Most Inspirational Dances at each location and selected by all dancers attending. 

If registered, these dances will also perform at our National Retreat and are automatically entered into our Most Inspirational Dance of the Year’s Cross of Hope+Courage+Strength and selected by all dancers attending.

Each dance performing will receive the following inspirational items of appreciation and will be available for pick up in a commemorative sponsor bag at our awards table by the studio owner at the end of our SHOWCASE OF FAITH: Solos will receive 1 Inspirational medal & Inspirational pin. Duet/Trios will receive 1 Inspirational plaque & Inspirational pins for each dancer. Groups will receive 1 Inspirational plaque & Inspirational pins for each dancer.


Solo Worship will receive 1 Inspirational medal & Inspirational pin. Duet/Trio Worship will receive 1 Inspirational plaque & Inspirational pins for each dancer. Group Worship will receive 1 Inspirational plaque & Inspirational pins for each dancer.

There will be no #’s , styles, sizes, or ages attached to the dances just a program order that will include the name of the dance, name of dancers, and the choreographer so that our dancers can remain in a very comfortable environment to do their very best during their performance worship. Each studio will get a studio code with the program order to tell their dancers prior to the event.

At every location there will be an offering box for you to put your suggestions about any Christian organization that has made a difference in your life’s purpose. During THE NATIONAL RETREAT, we will announce the recipient of this yearly donation which is taken from a percentage of all registration fees during that tour season.

Description Title

At the end of our final prayer & improv circle, each dancer will exchange with another dancer that they do not know a decorated cross that they will make prior to their arrival as a gift of God's love. When you leave with your new cross remember everything that you have experienced today everytime you look at it.  Please take a moment out of your busy lives to decorate your cross just as you like it and remember the strength that it holds. This would be a great opportunity for directors or parents to have everyone gather together to decorate their crosses and talk about what the experience will be like at THE PURPOSE. Crosses can be made and decorated with any material that does not have a sharp harmful edge. Crosses cannot be taller or wider than 8 inches.

Worship Music

Only worship music with the message of God will be allowed (examples include music that you love to sing at church, any non-secular arrangements, or songs from your favorite Christian radio station).


All worship music will need to be downloaded into your online account once you receive our location schedule which is 7-10 days prior to the event so that we can screen all music for appropriateness.

Time Limits

  • Solo Worship (1 person) will receive 2:45 min
  • Duet/Trio Worship (2-3 people) will receive 2:45 min
  • Small group Worship (4-9 people) will receive 3 min
  • Large group Worship (10-19 people) will receive 4 min
  • Team Worship (20-29 people) will receive 4 min
  • Production Worship (10 or more) will receive 7 min

Props/Sets

Each group will only have 30 seconds to set up and 30 seconds to remove any props or set pieces so please refrain from anything too large. Studios must place the props themselves on stage before the dance and take them off stage after the dance very efficiently in order to stay on our time schedule.

Prohibited

The use of loose glitter, helium balloons, smoke/fog machines, or live animals are not allowed by our venues.

PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO POLICY

Photography and videos are not allowed during the convention classes and prayer circles. Also, please silence all cell phones.


Non-flash photography and videos are allowed during the Showcase of Faith as long as THE PURPOSE does not provide an onsite photographer or videographer in which photos and videos will be for purchase in the lobby.
